A distribution center has very little downtime. Goods are received, sorted, packed and moved throughout the building every day, so clear and consistent lighting is essential for both daily operations and safe movement around the facility.
For this project, LED Linear High Bay Lights were installed throughout the main warehouse and distribution areas.
The long, rectangular fixture design works naturally with the layout of the building. Racking, conveyor lines, packing stations and traffic lanes all run in defined directions, so linear high bays can be arranged in continuous rows to provide more consistent illumination across these working areas.
The high mounting height was another important consideration. Light needs to reach the floor, workstations and storage areas without creating obvious bright and dark sections between fixtures. The wide light distribution of the linear high bays helps maintain better visibility across the open floor, particularly around sorting and handling areas where employees regularly read labels and identify products.
The fixtures also keep the ceiling layout straightforward. In a large logistics facility, a simple and repeatable lighting arrangement makes future inspection, maintenance and fixture replacement much easier.
The completed installation provides the bright, practical working environment needed for daily logistics operations while keeping the lighting system clean and easy to manage.
